After months of planning, Katie & I have decided on the route to take for The Big Trip. Good timing too! The trip begins in just a few days. The rules for this trip were very simple… There must be sunshine & we can only go in the one direction, no looking back. So with the rules set, here is the route.
April 20th, 2009 I packed my backpack & begun my new life living in London. Fast forward to today & what we have here are the closing paragraphs of a big chapter of my life. My days left in London can be counted on fingers. How do I feel? I don't know. Everything is so busy I haven't had the chance to blink.
This week's #FriFotos theme is lakes. There is a place in England that is more beautiful than anywhere else in the country, that place is the Lake District. With so many hiking trails, there are plenty of beautiful areas to explore. But if relaxing is more your style, then this region is the place to do it.
This week's #FriFotos theme is summer. The first thing that comes into my mind when the word summer is mentioned, is festivals. Living over in Europe, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to festivals. I have been to my fair share, giving me so many amazing memories I will not soon forget.
Do you think I would make a good male model? I don't! Maybe a hand model if I start moisturising. What I do enjoy though, is trying to look nice from what I have. Living out of a backpack can be tough. You get tired of wearing same clothes over & over again, with mixing & matching the only option.
Some folks art galleries, some folks can't stand them. I love them, especially new age ones like the Tate Modern in London, England. The Tate Modern is housed inside the converted Bankside Power Station & is the most visited modern art gallery in the world with 4.7 million visitors per year.
The Championships at Wimbledon are full of tradition. The All England Lawn Tennis Club site is very compact, getting the spectators very close to the action. After enjoying a Pimms, you wander the courts munching away on too many Strawberries & Cream. I lost count with how many strawberries I ate.
This week's #FriFotos theme is: For Sale. About to head out into the lush rolling hills of the Lake District for a day-long hike, I thought we could start the day off with something nice to eat. When I saw these babies for £3, there was no doubt we had just found our motivation to walk further.
I love my music. I have a very broad taste. But the standout band for me has always been Australian rock band, Powderfinger. “The Finger” always managed to release a feel good hit album for the summer for you to relax to and enjoy hearing a real band, not manufactured pop music to taint the speakers.
I was born in 1983, which was also the golden era for rock. I don’t know how or why, but I love rock. The heavy chords, the power ballads and of course, the hair! The only problem when I was growing up, was that I couldn’t see these amazing bands live. Luckily I got a chance to see Whitesnake in 2011.
