#beachthursday – Shelly Beach
This week I am joining in with the #beachthursday fun. I love the beach! The sun, the friends, the water, the beer, the good times and great classic hits, all while working on a tan.

Miami definitely gets enough of its fair share of sunshine. Having forgotten it is winter back in London, we jump on a boat and cruise around Biscayne Bay to see the homes of the rich & famous.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Melbourne. It’s where I will live when I am done traveling, but one thing that annoys me about the city, is that it is young and some people want to keep it young.
We have been driving across Norway and we are heading south toward Oslo, a long way from where we are. We cross yet another raging glacial river and we all say “WOW!”
I have a soft spot for road trips. I simply love driving. I find it soothing even. So when I get to drive on a section of asphalt that I have dreamed of since I have had a licence, the feeling I get is a good one.
This weeks #FriFotos theme is Time/Clocks. I love train stations! The stress of an airport doesn’t exist. We had our EuroStar to catch back to London, but I dreamed of heading somewhere else.
I like to dream big. The Big Trip is an example, but this dream has just become real. My partner & I are moving back home to Australia before the year ends. The time has come for a new chapter.
It’s January, 2010. I have been evicted from of my Shepherds Bush, London flat because the owner wants to move back in. I’m broke and can’t afford bond for a new place. There is only one option. A hostel.
We have jumped in the HR Holden, headed for the Great Ocean Road. It is a scorching hot summer’s day and we cant wait to jump in the ocean. As soon as we get to our chosen beach, I recognise it.
Italy. It has some many things that can be identified as Italian. Probably more than any country I know. The food. The language. The passion. The people. The cars?
